The municipality of Utrecht has reached agreement with MRP Development and VORM Development on the implementation of the Kruisvaartkade in Utrecht. Result: 450 – 600 new houses will be built.

Near the center of Utrecht, between the Kruisvaart and the railway, is an area full of potential to realize the ‘Healthy Urban Living’ vision of the city of Utrecht. Following the Dichterswijk project, the Kruisvaartkade project will focus on greening and sustainability. A completely new residential area with a vision for the future. This beautiful location with the Utrecht city center and Utrecht Central station within walking distance, offers all desirable amenities for future residents. The agreement makes it possible to built 450 to 600 new houses in the Kruisvaartkade project. The housing program is very differentiated, including 20% ​​of the number of homes in the social rental segment and 75 homes in the mid-rent segment.
