Fast and sustainable with PROVADA mobility service from WFC Amsterdam

MRP, in collaboration with PROVADA, RAI Amsterdam and MOBIAN, is offering a sustainable shuttle service from WFC Amsterdam (World Fashion Centre). The partners' ambition is to encourage sustainable mobility even more and to provide alternatives to the parking pressure around PROVADA. Visitors to PROVADA can now reserve a parking space in WFC Amsterdam in advance. With the parking ticket, they can choose to take the free RAI Shuttle Bus or MOBIBIKE's MOBIAN shared bicycle to and from WFC Amsterdam. The initiative fits perfectly with developer MRP's plans for the renewal of WFC Amsterdam into an open and diverse multifunctional area where living, working, shopping, recreation and meeting increasingly converge and sustainable mobility is a matter of course.

Bart Meijer, CEO MRP: ‘ In the coming years, we will be working hard to renew the WFC. The aim is to make the WFC more accessible and a nice place for everyone. We will do this by adding various facilities to the current businesses in the WFC, making it a place to come together, learn, shop, relax, play sports, work and live. Sustainable mobility and Last-mile solutions like MOBIBIKE of MOBIAN and the shuttle service of the RAI Amsterdam play a central role in the renewal to promote a healthy and sustainable living and working environment.’

Take the shared bicycle or the RAI shuttle service from WFC Amsterdam!

PROVADA 2024 promises to be another busy edition and due to other events in the RAI, the RAI car parks will fill up quickly this year. Given the expected crowds, the online presale of RAI parking garages has been turned off. Therefore, this year there will again be sustainable options to come by public transport or use the parking option at WFC Amsterdam (World Fashion Centre, Westas A10). Here, MOBIAN's shared bikes or RAI Amsterdam's shuttle service will be ready for transport to and from the RAI Amsterdam.

MRP owns WFC Amsterdam and is fully engaged in the plans to renew the monofunctional building complex into a diverse, sustainable and vibrant place where living, working and facilities come together. MOBIAN provides sustainable, efficient and low-cost park-and-ride solutions to travel to any destination. MOBIAN's shared bicycles are already permanently available at WFC Amsterdam for tenants, visitors and local residents. This is now complemented by the collaboration to provide Park + Bike for PROVADA visitors.

Peter Schreuter, Director Provada: ‘What started as an idea last year, the pilot proved to be a great success. We were able to serve over 600 visitors and this year there are not only shuttle buses from the RAI but also shared bicycles. This is how we as PROVADA set an example to facilitate solutions together with our partners RAI Amsterdam and MRP that reduce the pressure on the city.’

MOBIAN creates mobility hubs where more forms of mobility come together. In this MOBIHUB, cars can be parked and people can switch to, for example, a shared bicycle to complete the journey further. WFC Amsterdam is therefore a good choice for MOBIAN given its central location on the Westas A10 just 10 minutes by bike to the historic city centre.

Sven Snel, Founder MOBIAN : ‘The MOBIBIKE is an excellent last-mile solution for visitors to PROVADA. MOBIAN facilitates MobiHubs such as in WFC Amsterdam, where visitors, tenants or residents can park their cars and then easily travel the last few kilometres to their final destination, for example by shared bike. We are therefore very pleased with this sustainable new cooperation.
