MRP and SPAR sign a letter of intent for WFC Amsterdam

MRP and SPAR signed a letter of intent for a SPAR city with a shop-in-the-shop of The Tosti Club in WFC Amsterdam during the PROVADA. The arrival of the convenience store SPAR fits in with WFC Amsterdam's plans to transform into a new mixed-use location at the Westas in Amsterdam.

SPAR city with The Tosti Club in WFC Amsterdam

WFC Amsterdam is transforming a monofunctional building complex into a diverse, sustainable and lively place. The new hotspot on the Westas, where you like to work, live and meet each other. WFC Amsterdam offers space for various functions with the most important pillars of fashion, technology and creativity with high-profile facilities, social and cultural activities. The arrival of SPAR is a first step in providing facilities for tenants, residents of the short-stay and local residents. SPAR's city format, which is characterized by the large share of food service, can be found in city centers throughout the country. The convenience stores offer a complete range of products.

Bart Meijer, CEO MRP: “Establishing the SPAR in the plinth of WFC Amsterdam is part of MRP's development strategy to make WFC Amsterdam a lively mixed-use location. WFC Amsterdam not only wants to provide innovative (flex) offices, fashion showrooms or conference facilities, but also wants to offers appealing facilities for local residents, and local and international visitors. The SPAR fits perfectly with their national and international recognisability and serving the local environment in our ambition for WFC Amsterdam".  

SPAR focuses largely on passers-by, residents and local residents. In the store you can go to the shop-in-shop location of The Tosti Club for the Real Tosti's. In addition to the regular food range, SPAR is investing heavily in food service and the associated hospitality experience for its guests. This is done by making it possible for customers/guests to order a freshly prepared sandwich from The Tosti Club or a freshly filled sandwich, a fresh salad or smoothie or to take it to go. The SPAR city store in WFC Amsterdam is expected to open by the end of 2022.
