MRP SoZa BV is the project developer and owner of SoZa. MRP SoZa is a joint venture between VORM Ontwikkeling and MRP Development and is responsible for the redevelopment of the premises.

Over the next five years, the former Ministry of Social Affairs and Employment, directly opposite the Laan van NOI railway station, will be the place where Community & Business go hand in hand in the Netherlands. In the building you will find status holders and young people of The Hague jointly occupying a co-living space. The idea behind mixing status holders and existing residents of The Hague together is that the newcomers will find their place in the city’s community more quickly. Professionals who also work in the building will provide help to the status holders so they can get their lives back on track in terms of work, education, friends and language. This combination of co-living and structured support is also known as The Hague approach.

In addition a section of the building will be transformed into a co-working space, where social entrepreneurs, social organisations and creative initiatives, together with status holders and local residents, will create a vibrant community. There will also be room for innovative start-ups in areas such as cyber security.

In the coming years, the building will also play a leading role in the development of the Laan van NOI station area and give a powerful boost to the Central Innovation District, the economic and innovative heart of The Hague.
