Cartesius Utrecht - Healthy Urban Living
Cartesius in Utrecht is in the process of becoming a new residential neighborhood. The new neighborhood will offer a variety of housing at different price points. It will cater to a diverse set of demographics, with a quarter of the units intended for rental social housing.

Hotspot
The project emphasizes long-term sustainability, public transportation and innovative energy solutions. Daily necessities, from childcare to grocery shopping, will be accessible by foot from the residences. Several public transportation hubs are also within walking distance from the site.

13.3 Hectares in Utrecht Centre

 

The area is set to become the healthiest, well-connected and bicycle-friendly neighborhood in the Netherlands. All urban amenities will be easily accessible. Highlights include a food hall that will offer healthy catering facilities and Cartesiuspark, the green heart of the neighborhood. Walking and cycling will be the main modes of transport and mobility will be included as a service.

 

2,852 New Residential

 

The masterplan for 2,852 homes, a large central park, a school, a supermarket and various other facilities is inspired by the Blue Zoners with the ambition to create a neighborhood where people live longer, healthier and happier lives.
