During this moment, the covenant "Building a Healthy Neighbourhood" was also signed by a broad coalition of parties after which the construction of this new phase was symbolically heralded. The 'Covenant Building a Healthy Neighbourhood' was signed by MRP, Ballast Nedam Development, Municipality of Utrecht, NS Stations (part of Dutch Railways), UMC Utrecht, Utrecht University of Applied Sciences, Utrecht University, Portaal, Achmea Real Estate, CBRE Investment Management. In addition, during the Economic Board Utrecht's trade mission in Copenhagen, the World Health Organization agreed to include Cartesius Utrecht as a project in the programme 'Health in the Well-Being Economy' as part of 'WHO Healthy Cities'.

Cartesius Utrecht is a development by MRP and Ballast Nedam Development in cooperation with the City of Utrecht and NS Stations (part of Dutch Railways).
