MIX Amsterdam construction in full swing

The construction of MIX Amsterdam in Stadscentrum Osdorpplein in Amsterdam Nieuw-West is in full swing. MIX Amsterdam comprises 528 rental flats, including 162 social rental flats for Ymere, 285 flats for Union Investment, about 4,000 m² of commercial space, car and bicycle parking and the art and culture centre ‘Het Verhalenhuis’. Watch here the video with Heddes Bouw & Ontwikkeling and the construction of MIX Amsterdam.

MIX Amsterdam was developed according to MRP's vision of building sustainable neighbourhoods. By making smart choices and applying innovation, the impact of the built environment is minimised and the quality of life for people is enhanced. The green courtyard garden is publicly accessible and encourages interaction between people. In addition, the green courtyard garden contributes to the climate resilience and biodiversity of the neighbourhood. Sustainable choices are also made in the finishing of the flats.

The public bicycle storage will provide space for over 400 bicycles under the Verhalenhuis and there will be 382 new parking spaces in the public car park, which will be in direct open connection with MRP's already realised public car park Parking Nieuw West. The ground floor will house shops, offices and the art and cultural centre the Verhalenhuis. The Verhalenhuis is a collaboration between the Amsterdam Public Library, El Hizjra (centre for Arabic art and culture), radio station FunX and Oxville Cinema. The Verhalenhuis will have a broad and active programme for the neighbourhood and will be an open and accessible meeting place.
